A compact, single Blue Flag awarded beach is located to the north of the region.
The popular beach resort of Ermones is located in the west coast of Corfu and is a long sandy beaches boarded by hills covered by trees.

Sun beds, umbrellas and water sports facilities are proposed on Ermones beach. A large range of hotels and a few restaurants can be found in the area.

The beach is at the bottom of a very steep rock face and indeed there is even a cable car which takes hotel residents up and down. To get on the beach you have to cross a river via a wooden bridge. The beach is quite small and overlooked by some huge hotels.

As you walk along it you find it quite bouncy and closer inspection reveals that a lot of the beach is made up of wood shavings. There is also a fair amount of sea debris here in amongst the sun loungers.
