Set in two picturesque bays that look out onto the Coast of Albania, St Spyridon is a quiet resort, popular with birdwatchers and botanists. St. Spyridon holidays in the northeast of Corfu are popular for the proximity of the nature reserve.
The plant and animal life that exists there is quite fascinating and in some cases rare. St. Spyridon holidays aren't known for wild nights out, with just a handful of bars and traditional tavernas.
The main attractions of St. Spyridon holidays are the European Blue Flag beach, which is a good stretch of sand washed by warm Ionian waters and the beautiful surrounding countryside with all its wild flowers, butterflies and birds. For a quiet Corfu holiday with plenty of back to nature opportunities holidays in St. Spyridon are an excellent choice.
The beach is found within an exotic environment with an impressive biotope of a lagoon and a small river with cool water, certainly worth visiting it.
The beach, awarded a blue flag, is found close to the cosmopolitan and popular tourist resorts of Kassiopi (8 kilometers southeastern to the beach) and Acharavi (9 kilometers southwestern to the beach).
The capital Corfu Town and the Airport are about 25 miles to the south of St. Spyridon. Corfu Town is an interesting blend of traditional houses and modern tourist infrastructure with plenty of bars and discos and lots of things to see and do.
